How is the mess at NID Andhra Pradesh?

Since there is no permanent campus, the college doesn’t provide a mess facility either. All the students have food from a private mess service run by a few local women in the temporary accommodation (i.e., IJM Raintree Park Dwarka Krishna). Or many people have cooking maids come and make food for them in their flats, or people cook on their own.

Or, we have Reddy Anna’s canteen. This is a small canteen in the college. It’s open only during college hours. From 9am in the morning to 7pm in the evening. You get snacks and dosas all day. Lunch is provided as a full meal. All paid. Money money for everything. You give money you get food. Simple.

Now, let’s talk about the grocery shops. So, there are a few shops inside the residential society. Exact number is 4. 3 of them provide all sorts of daily needs goods and 1 of them is a fruits and vegetables shop. You can pretty much get whatever you need inside the complex. But if you don’t, there is a grocery mart called Total fresh at walkable distance. You can also take an auto and go to Guntur or Vijayawada, the nearby cities to buy whatever other things you require.

Life at NID AP is a bit of a detour from regular college life. All the things there are still coming up, so there is a lot of adjusting. But that’s what has made the bonds between the student community stronger. There’s a lot of craziness that actually keeps you sane with all the college work that’s thrown on you every day. You can look forward to every college day because of the people you’ll meet there. And that’s what makes everything so wonderful.
