NID, (National Institute of Design) conducts entrance exams annually for both the bachelor's and the master's programs. The examination comprises of 2 rounds; the prelims and the mains. The prelims, or the DAT (Design Ability Test) further has 2 sections. The aptitude portion and the drawing portion. The marks distribution for these changes from year to year. The NID mains is a studio test.
The results for the NID DAT Prelims come out around February. This is the first phase of anticipation. The final results come out after both rounds of the entrance are complete. That is around April or May. This is when you find out whether you got in or not. You may have cleared the first round, but not the second, or maybe the other way around. Either ways the future has something pretty neat stowed away for you, so don't worry about it.
The results for the other design entrances also come out around this time. Like NIFT, IIT etc.
NIFT releases its written exam's results around March and the final results around April. The UCEED and CEED results come out around March.
