NIFT (National Institute of Design), one of India’s most reputed design institutions holds its admissions once a year to bring in students that’ll add value to the institute’s prestige. Their admission process involves 2 rounds of examinations. The first is a written test and the second one is personal interviews, situation tests or group discussions.
Before allowing you a permanent seat in the campus of your choice, NIFT goes through a heavy verification round to make sure it’s really you and not a scam and whether everything about you is up to the mark or not. You know, things like past records. Make sure you’ve got a clean chit buddy.
We’ll be telling you what all NIFT despises in this blog.
1. The mere fact of qualifying the entrance examination shall not, ipso facto, entitle a candidate for admission to a programme;
2. If NIFT is not satisfied with the character, past behavior or antecedents of a candidate, it can refuse to admit him/her to any course of study at any Campus or cancel the admission at a later stage.
3. If at any stage it is found that a candidate has got admission in any Campus /Programme on the basis of false information, or by hiding relevant facts or if it is found that admission was given due to any mistake or oversight, the admission granted to such candidate shall be liable to be cancelled forthwith without any notice at any time during the course of his/ her studies and fee deposited by the candidate will be forfeited.
4. If a candidate does not report to the allotted /re-allotted NIFT campus within 7 days of commencement of the session, the admission of the candidate will stand cancelled without any intimation and the tuition fee paid shall be forfeited.
5. The Director General, NIFT may cancel the admission of any candidate for a specific reason or debar him/her for a certain period.
6. It will be the sole responsibility of the candidate to make sure that they are eligible and fulfill all the conditions prescribed for admission. If it is found at any stage during the entire period of the programme that the candidate does not fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions, his/her admission will be cancelled and entire fee will be forfeited;
7. The merit ranking will be valid only for the programme/ category for which the candidate has appeared and cannot be utilized for admission to any other programme/ category. Further, the merit ranking of the candidate shall be valid only for the Academic Session for which the candidate has appeared in the Entrance Examination.
Yep, those were all things NIFT will do if you don't take care and submit documents improperly or turn out to be a scam. Pay extra attention to every single thing you fill up for them and make sure it's all honest and verified information.
