Hi people, we’ve done all the hard work for you and shortlisted all the major design courses offered in India. So, go through this list and choose and what you like. Then comes the next step. You do some more research! About the field you like of course. You could grab a surfing board and surf the web. Or you could digest another of our blogs. Hehe. I would prefer the latter.
Now, let’s get to the masala.
1. Bachelor of Design (B. Des.): This undergraduate program offers specializations in fields like fashion design, industrial design, textile design, graphic design, communication design, interior design, and more.
2. Master of Design (M. Des): This postgraduate program focuses on advanced design concepts and specialization in specific areas such as product design, interaction design, visual communication design, transportation design, and more.
3. Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.): Although architecture is not purely a design course, it involves designing buildings and spaces. It is a five-year undergraduate program that enables students to become licensed architects.
4. Bachelor of Fashion (B. F. D.): This program focuses specifically on fashion design and covers subjects like garment construction, textile design, fashion illustration, fashion marketing, and more.
5. Bachelor of Interior Design ( B. I. D.): This course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge of interior design principles, space planning, furniture design, material selection, and other aspects related to interior design.
6. Bachelor of Industrial Design (B. I. Des.): Industrial design focuses on designing consumer products, appliances, automobiles, and other manufactured goods. This course covers topics like product aesthetics, ergonomics, manufacturing processes, and more.
7. Bachelor of Graphic Design (B. G. Des.): Graphic design programs focus on visual communication and design principles. You learn about typography, illustration, branding, digital design, and other aspects related to graphic design.

9. Bachelor of Film and Television Production: This program focuses on the technical and creative aspects of film and television production. You learn about scriptwriting, cinematography, editing, sound design, production management, and other related topics.
These are just a few examples of design courses available in India. Many universities, colleges, and design institutes across the country offer specialized design programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. And of course you should go and check them out before you decide on anything!
