What is the eligibility criteria for CEED entrance exam?

CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design) is an entrance exam that you can take if you want to apply to IDC (Industrial Design Centre). IDC is the design branch of the IITs. Every year IIT opens admissions for design applicants. For the bachelor’s program you take the UCEED and for the master’s programs you take the CEED.

And yes, if you are wondering, there is an eligibility criteria. It is mentioned on their  official website, but who wants to go through the hassle for looking for it, right? Well, guess what? You don't! Just keep reading this blog and you'll find out about the eligibility criteria.

Criterion 1: Age Limit

There is no age limit to appear for CEED. Also, a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times.

Criterion 2: Qualifying Examination

Candidates must have completed a degree/diploma/post graduate degree programme of minimum THREE years (after 10+2 level), or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2023, or must have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2023. Note that the eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes may differ from the eligibility criteria for appearing for CEED. Before applying for CEED, candidates are advised to check whether they meet the required eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes.
