What is the intake capacity at individual NID's for bachelor's programme?

NID (National Institute of Design), is one the most sought-after design colleges in the country. Plus, its admissions open only once in a year, I mean all colleges do that, but you need to know when you’ve got a chance right? And you also need to know whether there are enough seats or not, considering the amount of people that apply.

So, that’s exactly what we’re headed towards in this blog. Stick around!

The division of seats is different in the NIDs. To be more specific, NID Ahmedabad follows a different system of segregation and the other 4 NIDs have a different way. By the way, the other 4 NIDs are; NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Madhya Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Assam. The first year, i.e., the first 2 semesters at all the NIDs, for the bachelor’s program is the foundation year. It is compulsory for all students. Only in the second year can you choose a discipline, and that discipline is allotted on the basis of merit and your preference.

You'll have to provide 3 disciplines  in order of your preference and they'll give you the one based upon availability of seats and your merit after the first year. Make sure you fill in the right ones! Double Check this part. No! Triple check it.

All the information above is from the NID official handbooks pdfs 2023 and is subject to change year by year. For more information, please visit the NID official website at; https://admissions.nid.edu/NIDA2023/Default.aspx
