What is the schedule of the NIFT Entrance exam?

NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) conducts its entrance annually for both the masters and bachelors’ program. And believe it or not they’ve mentioned the schedule of the exam on their website. Yep, that’s right, the timings. And we’ve gone on the hunt, caught the prey, cooked it, and are now gonna be serving it to you. So, grab your forks and knives, or if you eat with your hands, you got your tools ready, and let’s get into it.

The NIFT timetable is coming up, now! The schedule is different for all degrees.

Bachelor of Design

GAT (General Ability Test): 10 am to 12pm

CAT (General Ability Test): 1pm to 4pm

Master of Design

GAT: 10am to 12pm

CAT: 1pm to 4pm

Bachelor of Fashion Technology

GAT: 10am to 1pm

Master of Fashion Technology

GAT: 10am to 1pm

Master of Fashion Management

GAT: 10am to 1pm

These timings are tentative. The timings mentioned above are from the NIFT 2023 guidelines pdf available on their website. Kindly keep checking the website for any further updates or year to year changes. 

 So, there are few other things to keep in mind. After the CAT and the GAT, the situation test takes place. But to appear for that, you have to appear for both the CAT and GAT. If you don’t, you won’t be shortlisted for the second round. Admission at all stages of the exam is going to be provisional. They’ve already mentioned that pretty clearly.
